The Gameface Company was founded in 2007 by Doug and Lori Marshall for the distribution of The Gameface Products. The Sportface™, the idea of Doug Marshall, was invented in the year 2007. The idea was a full facial temporary tattoo for sports fans that was easy to apply and was durable enough to withstand the harsh conditions of the stadium. Doug created 16 original designs for the sport fan, including high school, collegiate, and professional sports, available in a multitude of colors. From that point on, the Face™ took on a life of its own.
The sport line would evolve into school fundraising programs, professional NFL team designs, corporate team sponsor promotional products, NASCAR team designs, with the potential for other team and sport designs, including NHL, NBA, and international soccer.
Other applications for the Face™ evolved. The hunting line was created. Paint kits for hunters were messy, uncomfortable and unreliable. Veils were also uncomfortable and obstructed vision, the use of game calls, and bow hunting movement. The Camoface™ was perfect to fill this need. In December of 2007, The Gameface Company became an officially licensed product with Mossy Oak, debuting the Treestand face at the 2008 Shot Show. This line has been received with great success. Hunters across the country are testing the Camoface™ for different hunting applications such as deer hunting, duck hunting, turkey hunting. Several custom camouflage patterns are being developed for a variety of seasonal applications.
The camouflage line even crosses into other areas of use -- the paintball arena, and a recent development is possible military and police use. Once applied, the Camoface™ leaves the individual unidentifiable and thus conceals his or her identity. This is useful for military actions and/or police work.
Yet another application for the The Face™ was identified – The Costume Face™. Many children love the idea of donning a mask for dress up or trick or treat, but don’t love the feel of a mask. The Costume Face™ is easy to apply, and easy to remove. Once more, The Costume Face™ allows the creativity and fun of a mask without obstructing the vision of the children during the trick or treat season. Face paints are uncomfortable as well as difficult to apply with precision. So The Costume Face™, with six initial designs and child sizes, is the perfect solution to this problem. With the six designs, children can have an instant costume and parents can rest easy knowing their child is safe. More costume designs are on the drawing board, including licensed products, concert and festival faces. Even glow-in-the-dark faces are in the planning stages. Just be careful, you might come across a being from another planet! Make sure it’s just someone with their The Costume Face™ on.
